Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation offers opportunities for students and recent graduates to acquire multidisciplinary work experience in applied environmental research and conservation. We provide internships which take place in research bases and stations located on seven islands and islets of the eastern Aegean Sea, as well as on the Archipelagos' research boats.

Archipelagos is looking for universities willing to cooperate on different programs, which could be supported by the Erasmus+ or other equivalent grants. We organize:
Internships for students and young graduates (Duration: a few weeks - 12 months)
Fieldwork research for Masters and PhD
Field courses for students
Field visits for university staff

These internships offer an opportunity to work on targeted conservation projects and improve the students' competences, but also to become a part of a dynamic international research team.

Below are the fundamental placement details:
Duration: 3-12 months (shorter duration is considered on a case-by-case basis)
Location: Archipelagos’ research bases and stations in the eastern Aegean Sea (Samos, Lipsi, Ikaria, Arki, Marathi, Leros and Oinousses islands).
Costs: Placement fee of 650 euros/month
Coverage: Accommodation, full board, as well as Greek language lessons

Placement fee and travel expenses are frequently covered by grants such as Erasmus+ or its equivalents.

Participants also have an opportunity to obtain (at discount rates):
* Skipper license;
* Scuba diving certification (PADI);
* Canoeing/ kayaking certification.
